Day 5: Sleep in this morning - didn't wish to be caught up in the London rush hour. Headed off to the National Gallery well after 9.00 am - rush hour goes for hours - the tube was packed - nose to nose stuff! We wondered what was different about Trafalgar Square, but couldn't quite work out what had changed in 29 years - it was, no pigeons! Nelson was still upright and domineering, and the pool was being used to cool off by many visitors and Londoners - unusually warm weather being experienced.
Coffee at the Nat Gallery, and then a major tour of some old favourites. Still as stunning as when first visited. Lunched at Trafalgar Square. This touring business was starting to exact it's toll! Checked out a few stores and then off home to Golden Lane.
