Day 15 Thursday 3rd June:
Set directions for Alfriston - the playground of the Huggett boys in the early 1800s. TT lead us a merry dance down some hedgerows we would not have selected, but he got us there. Again, beautiful counrty side. Alfriston is set in the Cuckmore Valley in the South Downs. A delightful village with the obvious tourist interest. No reference to Huggetts, but viewed The Smugglers Inn where Stanton Collins, leader of the Alfriston Gang in the 1820s, once lived. Visited the 12th Century Clergyman's House. A lovely lunch before continuing down the valley to Seaford.

Parked at the beach next to the Martello Tower, built as a defence against Napoleon, and then explored the town. Viewed an exhibition at the old crypt and then headed for the stunning views of The Seven Sisters at Beachy Head and Birling Gap. It is said that this view is one of the outstanding views in the whole of the UK.

Left for East Chiltington for the night.
